Should the ruler thirst around the humane refund?
April 13, 2010
I just signed on with PayPerPost, the idea is to create a blog post for advertisers on your blog and you are paid per word or link. I just signed on today so I will see how this works. Apparently you can pick and choose the advertiser you want to blog for and the links you want to add to your site.
One of the interesting things they have you do, to verify your blog, is create a new blog post and add an auto-generated sentence they provide you, somewhere in the post, then you go back to your PPP account to “claim the blog” you’ve submitted. It then goes to your blog to find the random sentence. My sentence is in the headline, but I need to repeat it here…if anyone knows the meaning, by all means, leave a comment!
Should the ruler thirst around the humane refund?
Okay, now I can claim my blog and become a member of PayPerPost. Yea!
Your Awakening by Jonathan Freeman
April 7, 2010
I visited my friend Jonathan’s blog today, and browsed through to the post I am going to share. I loved the thoughts and feelings that came through and the things it made me think about so I am posting a portion of it here, in the hopes that you will click through and continue reading the rest.
Your Awakening
A time comes in your life when you finally get…when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out…ENOUGH! Enough fighting and crying and blaming and struggling to hold on. Then, like a child quieting down after a tantrum, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through new eyes.
This is your awakening…. read the rest of the post here…
Background Images in Posts
January 8, 2010
some really old thongs that have traveled far and wide with me
Okay, while on Twitter, I see my friend @DanLopez2012 tweet that he figured out a kewl way to do a background image in a post. And the geek in me had to check it out. So I grabbed a random pic that was on my server and threw it into the code.
Here’s the code:
<div style=”background-image: url(http://www.yvonnelyon.com/images/thongs148x160.jpg); width: 100%; height: 100%;”>
</div>
The pic of the thongs are only 148px by 160px or something like that. The code repeats it across the screen. But if I use the actual size of the pic in the code, then the text itself is only as wide. It effects the entire post. But on the really kewl side, if you have a nice big pic that you want to use as a background image in a post, vwhalla!
Thanks Dan, for another really good BSO (bright shiny object). At least this one had an education and purpose to it!
Feel free to swipe the code and use it, but make sure you thank Dan for it (you can find him on Twitter!)
Yvonne
